Responsibilities
- Researches, writes and edits various product documentation for advanced technology products.
Gathers technical information.
- Researches available engineering information.
- Interviews engineers and other technical personnel to ensure the clarity, completeness, accuracy and quality of the documents created.
- Assembles documentation in correct format, keeping structure, content and organization consistent with established standards and styles.
- Develops online help for software applications per established standards, styles and guidelines.

- Exercise full responsibility for the planning, organization and management of the development of complex proposal responses, bid preparations, and presentations in pursuit of new and add-on business
- Coordinate proposal response efforts with large response teams that can include some, or all, of the following: sales, global solutions, delivery and assigned subject matter experts, legal contract and financial decision makers, recruiting, sub-contractor relations, strategic partnerships, marketing, admin support, and resource management
- Coordinate with appropriate areas to develop an opportunity response plan (ORP) to guide each individual opportunity response effort and define timelines
- Lead and participate in the writing, editing, organization, formatting, and management of proposal submissions and presentations in support of the opportunity response process
- Responsible for ensuring that final opportunity response corresponds directly to the individual requirements of client request
- Create a favorable impression of company's experience and capabilities in all submissions and applications by working with the pursuit team to develop overall win strategies including solution, differentiators, appropriate references, resume strategies, etc.
- Ensure responses are in accordance with company's established standards, processes and procedures, and provide ultimate quality assurance of final documents including final production and submission to client
- Ensure timely development, production, and shipping of all response documents/forms in order to ensure a timely and compliant submission
- Develop, write, and/or edit other opportunity response-related and/or overall Marketing-related content and materials, as defined and needed
Roles & Responsibility:
- Independently analyze all client qualifications or proposal (RFI, RFQ, RFP) requests to produce a summary of the requirements for pursuit team members
- Coordinate the development and implementation of a comprehensive opportunity response plan (ORP), in conjunction with sales and solution owner/delivery that identifies schedules, responsibilities, and client and resource requirements
- Conduct research, gather information, and integrate information from multiple sources
- Serve as lead Marketing interface with pursuit team members and external partners responsible for providing input and content for the submission
- Serve as lead editor and writer of each assigned proposal, including the review and editing of materials for compliance, message, completeness, grammar, and formatting
- Establish and coordinate review and approval process to ensure adequate time for final review, production, and meeting overall deadlines
- Work with Sales, Delivery, to determine the appropriate assignment of content to pursuit team members; manage and support the work of pursuit team members in collaboration with Sales
- Develop and maintain business and technical knowledge relevant to the business unit and industries the company serves and key issues related to current business opportunities
- Lead or participate in proposal/grant development meetings and conference calls
- Provide editing support to the Resume Support Team, as needed
- Provide editing and writing support for other Marketing related materials as time allows (i.e., case studies, white papers, collateral materials, conference presentations, etc.)
- Perform other duties, as required, to fulfill responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or English degree preferred; academic background must include coursework with significant writing requirements, and no less than 5 years of direct responsibility for developing, writing and preparing documents in response to complex RFPs; additional experience in grant writing and/or technical writing is beneficial.
- Or, a minimum 7 - 10 years' information technology professional services (ideally) or application platform environment experience in a sales-support/enablement position directly responsible for developing, writing and preparing documents in response to complex proposal requirements.
- Expert in proposal writing and submissions
- Experience writing for client audiences in the USA State, Federal and local government sector, financial or staffing market verticals, preferred.
- Experience responding to formal RFI, RFQ, and RFP type requests and working knowledge of complying with the required legal processes for submission and preparing the required legal forms, required.
- Strong project management and ability to independently define, schedule, and manage the proposal preparation process, including the ability to understand and analyze the details of an RFP, required.
- Demonstrable personality and leadership skills to engage and motivate a diverse group of team members including, but not limited to, those in sales, delivery, project management, consulting, solutions,
recruiting, resource management, finance, legal, and admin support, required.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) and an expert working knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote required.
