Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the review and recreation of all BMC documentation.
- Check OS availability, Application performance and resource usage.
- Provide support for Productions, QC and end users.
- Attend to problems reported by IT Help Desk immediately.
- Attend to problems and alarms raised by BMC Patrol.
- Escalate to management any problems that cannot be resolved within the acceptable time limit.
- Assist Help Desk, and Operation Personnel on problem resolutions
- Installation of KMs, Patrol agents, Alarm Point and Patrol Console.
- Maintain PEM, SIM, Distribution, PCM and RT clouds servers.
- Create BMC rules, thresholds, and knowledge of severity.
- Understand topology to blackout alerts as needed.
- Help on Network and Desktop Monitoring
- Provide support for new IT projects
- Provide solutions and alternatives.
- Apply latest security patches, and comply with system hardening
- Perform security scans on all production systems regularly.
- Present solutions to other groups and do awareness of tools.
Key Skills/Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of BMC Implementation, Support, Workload Management and Performance Tuning
- Knowledge of LAN and TCP/IP
- Knowledge of Storage monitoring
- Programming language and custom scripting experience.
- Understanding of firewall policies and its usage.
- At least 3 – 5 years experience as BMC Administrator in a multi-platform environment, preferably in a financial institution.
- University Degree in IT or Computer Science.
- Good communication and written skill.
