Our client based in Arlington, Massachusetts, US is a holding company for operating and consulting companies focused on but not limited to the alternative investment industry providing an all-inclusive alternative investment experience to their clients.
They are looking for an expeienced Network Engineers to be based in Hanover/Frankfurt/Munich, Germany.
Job Responsibilities / Key Result Areas (KRAs)
- Cooperation in the network team, which records and processes faults and requirements via a ticket system and carries out fault analyzes.
- Maintenance and further development of the network infrastructure.
- Responsibility for the data centers in cooperation with the server team.
- Development of solutions and concepts for comprehensive infrastructure projects.
- Preparation of documentation for the network infrastructure and continuous improvement of existing documentation.
- Contribution to IT infrastructure projects.
Job Requirements (Qualifications/Certifications/Experience/Skills etc.)
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of large, international networks.
- Experience with different and current network technologies, e.g. Routing, switching, service provider technologies, LAN, WAN, MPLS, network management, network services etc.
- Experience with networking and IP networking products from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Huawei etc.
- Understanding of network protocols such as e.g. TCP / IP; BGP; OSFP; SNMP; IPSEC and others.
- Experience in the use and support of WLAN solutions across multiple networked sites.
- Knowledge of current firewall solutions.
Any other details, which you feel may be relevant to the position
- Knowledge of Checkpoint would be benefitial
- Knowledge of Load Balancing/F5 would be benefitial
