Key Job Responsibilities:
- Define and plan qualititative user research to effectively inform the design and development of products & services
- Recruit participants for research
- Conduct qualitative user research independently (e.g. in-depth interviews, contextual inquiries, ethnographic observations, focus groups, diary studies, usability testing, remote testing, etc.)
- Collaborate with UX Designers to translate research insights into design (e.g. collaborative sketching, prototyping, user stories)
- Communicate research insights effectively depending on project needs (e.g. reports, stakeholder workshops, videos, etc.)
Key Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience conducting effective UX/user/design/experience research
- Nice to have: Understanding of quantitative user research such as analytics, A/B testing, data-mining, etc.
- Relevant degree/diploma (e.g. sociology, anthropology, cognitive psychology, Human Factors, Human-Centred Design) or industry experience
- End-to-end experience with all aspects of the user research process
- Knowledge of UX design processes and methodologies
- Ability to facilitate discussions and workshops with different stakeholders
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Portfolio with examples of leading strategic user research with significant business outcomes
