- Gather, document and analyze system requirements from business users using structured techniques
- Design and develop business applications as per design specifications using best industry practices
- Prepare test cases and unit test the application
- Post live production support and managing software change requests from the users using department procedures.
- Interacting with external vendors to support interfaces and other application touchpoints
Job Requirements (Qualifications/Certifications/ Experience/Skills etc.)
- 5+ years of development experience using J2EE
- Excellent knowledge of the J2EE Framework and its components
- Extensive experience working relational databases preferably Oracle.
- Hands on experience on RAD platforms like eclipse or similar platforms
- Should have used version control tools like VSS or CVS or SV
- Experience using Object Oriented Programming techniques
- Development expertise on Websphere / Weblogic platforms
- Good understanding of build and deploy procedures with full project life cycle experience
- Knowledge of various testing techniques and ability to write structured test cases
- Good understanding of exposing and consuming Web Services
- Exposure to industry best practices
- Hands on experience with n-tier and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
