The client is looking for Oracle Apps DBA who will work in independent capacity in implementations of Oracle APPs and also be able to lead a team for the new installation, providing the technical leadership. The Oracle Apps DBA will support the organization*s Oracle EBS environments, mitigating risk through ensuring the stability, health, recoverability and scalability of this critical application.
Job Responsibilities / Key Result Areas (KRAs)
* Provide administration, management and oversight of the organization*s Oracle E-Business Suite ERP systems.
* Work with the Database and Infrastructure teams to manage regularly scheduled clones, all supporting environments, and dependent systems such as Dataguard replicated instances.
* Perform database and ERP tech stack upgrades and evaluating/testing/applying appropriate quarterly cumulative patch updates (CPU).
* Oracle database installation and configuration.
* Database encryption and partitioning.
* Managing a 7x24 Production support environment, on-call support, including coordinating and messaging required for maintenance windows.

Job Requirements (Qualifications/Certifications/Experience/Skills etc.)
* 3+ years of experience working with Oracle Applications, with increasing levels of responsibility.
* Extensive knowledge of underlying Oracle Applications database architectures and concepts.
* Maintenance of physical and logical storage structures, system and database parameters.
* Knowledge of cloning Operations for Oracle Apps EBS including pre/post and rapid clone and other advanced options.
* Experience in configuration of DMZ server
* Experience with Patching operations for Oracle Apps including analysis of patches, patching, post patch testing and validations.
* Previous experience working with the Financials (GL, AR, AP) modules.
* Understanding of data layouts and knowledge of transporting data between databases and servers in an optimal fashion.
* Experience and solid knowledge of various backup and replication tools and technologies including RMAN, Dataguard.
* Experience with performance tuning of both Application Tier and Database Tier, process and query optimization, troubleshooting of locking issues, monitoring of resource contention, analysis of queries, log files, trace files etc will be highly valued.
* Experience managing a 7x24 Production support environment, and on-call support, including coordinating and messaging required for maintenance windows.
* Proficient in change management process and utilization of incident/issue management tools, promoting code to various environments.
* High proficiency working with Windows/Linux(Red Hat) operating systems, shell scripting, Perl, cron.
* Experienced with navigating the Oracle support organization, creating and working Oracle SR*s through to resolution, Metalink.
* Awareness of appropriate roles, responsibilities and access levels from a security perspective.
* Experience with Oracle RAC/ASM/CRS, a big plus.
* Experience with Oracle EBS data archiving and sub-setting tools, Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP), shared application top, a big plus
* Experience upgrading a production environment from 11i to R12
* Experience working on oracle middleware including SOA, BPEL etc would be big plus.
* Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, customer service orientation and being collaborative in a dynamic environment is a must.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
* Cutover Planning, Managing and preparing R12 Instance for testing cycles,
* Oracle certifications such as OCP 10g or 11g
